I made a list of my favorite, sexiest AnnaLynne McCord body parts. I made this list in colored crayon on paper. I folded up this piece of paper with my list written in colored crayon and I put it in an envelope. I took this envelope and a stamp I stole from Gretchen's desk and I mailed it. I imagine right about now AnnaLynne McCord is opening up my letter and seeing that her sexy flat tummy is number four on my list. Oh, she may feel slighted that that bare midriff of hers only made it to number four, but she will take solace in the fact that my favorite body part list runs forty-seven items deep.

Stephen Mallon’s Subway Submarines

Stephen Mallon is a Brooklyn based industrial, art, and industrial art photographer. His photographic documentary of the salvage of Flight 1549 (the one that Sully landed safely on the Hudson) resulted in some stunning art work and generated a lot of buzz in the media. His project about the sinking of old subway cars in the Atlantic to build reefs can be seen in his upcoming show “Next Stop Atlantic” at the Front Room Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Stephen graciously agreed to share the nuts and bolts of this project during an interview for the The Heavy Light.

Adrianne Palicki is Our New Wonder Woman

Deadline says today that Adrianne Palicki of Friday Night Lights has not only won the role of Wonder Woman in the new NBC series, but she was the only actress even invited to test for it. Unfortunately that’s not Palicki in the headline. That’s Denise Milani. Palicki is apparently a good actress, HitFix seems to think she’s perfect for this, but it won’t really matter. Let’s not kid each other; Wonder Woman is pretty useless. Her only weapon is a lasso. A rope, with a hoop on the end. You ever been in a bad neighborhood and thought, “man, if only I had a rope with a hoop on the end right now.” If your baby calf is running away, there’s no one more qualified to help than Wonder Woman. Other than that she’s basically a tall Hooters waitress who took some tae-bo classes.

Inside and out, this vehicle is meant to radiate energy and power. This is the Ferrari Enzo, a car that never ever stops, but appears to sit in time even as it flies down the highway. The one sentence the designer hopes to let loose as much as possible is “My car has always more power than yours.” Time for crushing of all road opposition! Road warrior!

What If the Biggest Solar Storm on Record Happened Today?

On February 14 the sun erupted with the largest solar flare seen in four years—big enough to interfere with radio communications and GPS signals for airplanes on long-distance flights. As solar storms go, the Valentine's Day flare was actually modest. But the burst of activity is only the start of the upcoming solar maximum, due to peak in the next couple of years. "The sun has an activity cycle, much like hurricane season," Tom Bogdan, director of the Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colorado, said earlier this month at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C. "It's been hibernating for four or five years, not doing much of anything." Now the sun is waking up, and even though the upcoming solar maximum may see a record low in the overall amount of activity, the individual events could be very powerful.

Porsche Puts Names of 1 Million Facebook Fans on a 911

As part of its "Thank You" campaign, Porsche plastered the names of one million of its closest Facebook friends onto a hot rod. We all love a good timelapse video around here, but this one's subtler than most. It shows a crew of Porsche folks painstakingly detailing a brand new 911 GT3 R Hybrid... but with what? The video isn't high-resolution enough to read them, but all those teeny gray squiggles adorning the hood, tail, and sides of the car? They're names -- one million names, to be exact, of Porsche's Facebook fans. Want to see if your name is one of the lucky ones to make onto this beauty?

Your Toe Nail Clippings Can Predict Whether You Will Get Lung Cancer

Toenail clippings could allow scientists to predict the risk of lung cancer many years before it develops, research has shown. Measuring nicotine levels in clippings found men with the highest readings were more than three times more likely to get cancer than those with the lowest. Because toenails grow so slowly – at 1cm a year – they provide vital information on long-term exposure to cigarette smoke. The findings, by experts at the University of San Diego in California, could pave the way for doctors to screen for lung tumours. Toenails not only identify which smokers are most at risk but also which non-smokers, says the study in the American Journal of Epidemiology. This means it provides clues to the damaging effects of passive smoking.
