From the Daily Mirror: t might sound like a fantasy for many of Irina Shayk’s male admirers, but surprisingly her neighbours have been complaining about the lack of curtains in her apartment. Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend said: "Two weeks ago my doorman called me and said 'Irina, I’m so sorry to tell you this but your neighbour is complaining that you don’t have curtains in your apartment.' I had to put curtains up in my apartment. I don’t know what they saw but they were complaining." But Irina made sure to solve the problem by putting one of her bed sheets over the window, as to not offend any further.

Parkour (sometimes abbreviated to PK) is based upon the swift and energy-efficient traversing of one’s surrounding environment. It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, using only their bodies. Skills such as jumping, climbing, vaulting, rolling, swinging and wall scaling are typically employed. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles are preferable, and it is most commonly practiced in urban areas. For purists, the usage and employment of flips into the named route does not constitute parkour. Regardless of the definition, both Parkour and Freerunning are incredible to witness and a beautiful spectacle to capture. Amateur Weatherman Follows His Sun Compass To Snap Stunning Pictures

For many, it is a hobby that would require far too much patience. But one photographer waits for hours just to capture the perfect images of storm clouds breaking. Kris Dutson, 53, has spent ten years scouting out the ideal locations across Britain to capture the most astonishing atmospheric shots on his camera as rain falls. He carries meteorological charts and a sun compass with him and will patiently wait for clouds to break before capturing the perfect shot. Kris, from Compton Valence, near Dorchester, Dorset, scours the countryside for the most beautiful and interesting scenes to shoot. He sometimes waits for months on end before returning to a particular spot at the right time of year to catch these astonishing images.

Vmoto SCARTT 500cc

The SCARTT 500cc is a two-seat, highly capable off-road vehicle which has been approved for road use. Produced by the Australian company Vmoto the SCARTT blurs the line between a quad bike and a jeep, and in fact the vehicle shares components and features of both. The custom chassis of the Vmoto SCARTT utilizes performance Ohlins suspension units derived from quad bikes. Mounted at the rear is a 500cc (0.5 litre) 4 stroke engine mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox. The transmission can be switched between either 2 or 4 wheel drive by the simple push of a button, and there are also high and low torque settings which can be selected depending on the terrain.

Understanding the geometry of wrinkly skin could help design new materials that can stretch out without losing strength. “The paper explains a mechanism that can explain the structural stability of keratin in skin and its ability to absorb very large quantities of water,” said mathematician Gerd Schröder-Turk of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany, who was not involved in the new work. “This is a major breakthrough.” Scientists and frequent bathers know that skin can absorb a tremendous amount of water, and still be a strong barrier between our bodies and the harsh outside world. “Your skin wrinkles, yet it maintains its structure,” said mathematician Myfanwy Evans of the Australian National University, lead author of the new study. “It doesn’t just fall apart and dissolve into the water.”

Powerful, ultra-light and purist, the Wiesmann Spyder Concept is the essence of Wiesmann's philosophy. With a kerb weight of less than 1000 kg, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h less than 4 s and makes a top speed of approx. 290 km/h. Basis for this excellent performance is a 420-hp V8 high speed motor which is powered by a 4 liters of engine capacity. The two-seater has no doors or windscreen and is the most extreme Wiesmann ever built.

Most skateboards are pretty low tech and that's part of their appeal, but what if you a board that can really take you places? The Fiik skateboard has an electric motor that can take you up to 22 miles, and it even works pretty well when you go off the sidewalk. This isn't the first electric skateboard we've encountered, but it is the most impressive with it's three speeds, and electric anti-lock brakes. Top speed is around 23-mph, which sounds like plenty when your face will become the crumple zone in any accident. The big knobby tires look pretty good for running over grass or loose dirt, although I'm sure they can't tackle the really rough stuff like that tank tread skateboard. The biggest catch is the $1,600 asking price, and you'll have to add in shipping for Australia where the Fiiks are made.
