Anna Kournikova Sexy Coke PicturesI don’t really understand what the f@#k is going on in these pictures, it looks like Anna Kournikova is sitting on the hood of her fancy car drinking a Coke while her friend takes pictures, but that doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense. Whatever it is she’s doing, she’s looking pretty f@#king good while she does it. I like the ripped jeans and tank top looks, it’s like eighties sexy badass. Call me. |
Stunning Tulip Fields That Look Like A Giant Pack Of CrayonsA vast patchwork of kaleidoscopic colour, Holland's tulip fields are clearly nothing to be sneezed at. From the air it looks as though a giant toddler armed with a box of super-sized crayons has been let loose on the Dutch countryside... if the lines weren't quite so perfect. The vibrant blues, reds, pinks and yellows sprawl as far as the eye can see in Lisse, western Netherlands, where farmers hope to make huge profits selling them to florists and supermarkets around the world. |

Volcano Pictures: First Descent Into a Magma ChamberDuring the first ever scientific expedition into a volcanic magma chamber, climber Einar Stefánsson rappels into Iceland's dormant Thrihnukagigur volcano in October. Magma chambers supply the molten rock that oozes or bursts onto Earth's surface during an eruption. Thrihnukagigur, which last erupted about 3,000 years ago, contains only ancient magma—though the volcano could come back to life at anytime, experts say. "Thrihnukagigur is unique. … It's like somebody came and pulled the plug and all the magma ran down out of it," said volcanologist Haraldur Sigurdsson, who appears in Into Iceland's Volcano, a new documentary featuring the expedition, airing Friday on the National Geographic Channel. |

Buckle Up! Terrafugia Flying Car Approved For RoadsTalk about a way to beat traffic. Actually, you won't be able to take off out of gridlock in Terrafugia's flying car, but at least you'll be able to drive it on roads to the nearest airport. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently granted special exemptions for the Transition "roadable aircraft." The exemptions clear the way for shipping to begin from Terrafugia's Massachusetts plant following testing. The flying car is slated to enter production this year, with shipping in 2012. The NHTSA stipulations involve the type of tires and windscreen the Transition will use as a land vehicle. The tires are rated for highway speeds and the windshield will be made of polycarbonate materials instead of automotive safety glass to save weight and prevent shattering in a bird strike. Terrafugia says the Transition, which notched its maiden flight in 2009, is "the first (light airplane) to incorporate automotive safety features such as a purpose-built energy absorbing crumple zone, a rigid carbon fiber occupant safety cage, and automotive-style driver and passenger airbags." |
Why Mars is Losing Its Atmosphere -A Mystery Solved?NASA has been making a lot of headlines the past couple of years with recent discoveries on Mars, and fans of the red planet are in for good news: they're going again, bigger and better than ever. There's the Mars Surface Laboratory, the ExoMars rover, and flying above them all will be MAVEN which will make definitive scientific measurements of present-day atmospheric loss that will offer clues about the planet's history. "The loss of Mars' atmosphere has been an ongoing mystery," Doug McCuistion, director of the Mars Exploration Program at NASA Headquarters in Washington, said. |
Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M Conversion Edition by Anderson GermanyA stock Ferrari F430 Spider has been taken into the workshop by Anderson Germany. The German tuner from Dusseldorf transformed the Italian spider into a Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M Conversion Edition. The exclusive reconstruction includes a front air dam, side skirts, a rear apron and adjustment of the exhaust system. The bodywork was fitted with a black paint finish called Hyper Black. The Scuderia Stripes are in carbon steel with a yellow border. A tint on front and rear lights is not unseen. The exterior carbon package includes an engine grille, a rear diffuser, mirrors and covers under the hood. The performance increase from 490 to now 569hp resulted partly from a software optimization and a different exhaust system, which includes Renn-Kats and modified headers. A three-level remote adjustable racing damper control is used as well. The weight savings achieved were 29kg; a rise of at least 38hp. |
Doortop StashPop quiz: What does the top edge of say, your utility closet door look like? I'm betting that you've never seen it, even if you've lived in your home for awhile. And although there's not a lot of room to hide stuff in there, well, if you're like me, the stuff you want to hide is usually on the smaller side. Not many people think of the space inside the door as a hiding spot, but it's right there in easy reaching distance when you need to get to it. And it's devious enough that, yes, I think this trick will still be effective even after I blog it all over the web. You'll need a suitable hollow-core interior door, a cigar tube, a few tools, and some other odds 'n' ends. |
