Rihanna's Kadooment Day Parade in Barbados

Rihanna seems very grateful, doesn’t she? Here she is basically flipping everyone off as if to say, “I’ve already got your money, dude. Joke’s on you”. Sadly, the joke is on us. She’s a singer with, meh talent at best, and how does she thank us for making her rich beyond anything she could ever imagine? She flips us the bird. Clearly, she doesn’t owe anybody anything, least of all humility. How is it that only having a few albums gives you a career? Let’s see where she’ll be in 20 years.

Abandoned Ships, Boats and Shipyards

Ships and boats are ancient inventions whose rise parallels the spirit of human adventure. From antiquity to modernity great powers have relied on shipping to expand empires, while grand liners transported tourists to far flung places previously only accessible to the imagination. But the rise of air travel and decline of shipbuilding have left coasts and rivers littered with abandoned ships, boats and shipyards, that may not look pretty but provide a fascinating retrospective subject for photographers and maritime enthusiasts.

Laura Vandervoort Bikini Pictures

It looks like the movie The Reef, which is the sequel to Jessica Alba‘s Into the Blue, is going turn out all right. Here is some Canadian hottie Laura Vandervoot in a bikini. Now, between her and Audrina Patridge there’s definitely enough T & A to get me through an hour and a half of this crap when it hits DVD. But let’s hope the director decides to add in some lesbian scenes just to make the movie more authentic. I mean, when was the last time you saw two babes in bikinis not going at it with each other?

The Frozen Beauty of Antarctic and Arctic Photography

Antarctica and the Arctic regions are renowned for their pristine beauty and largely untouched wilderness, and are some of the most breathtaking places for photography. Many photographers take expeditions every year to capture magnificent Arctic photographs in the north or Antarctic photographs in the south. With a variety of wildlife that is unseen elsewhere, juxtaposed against the crisp blue skies, white snow and frigid water, the possibilities are truly breathtaking.

China Looks All Set For The JP800 BMX Dune Buggy

he mere mention of the word ‘dune buggy’ evokes the image of a rugged ATV rolling down a silken sand dune on a luxurious and no-expense-spared vacation in the Middle East! I have been watching one too in many travel shows lately but let me tell you that this 800cc JP800 BMX Dune Buggy could hold its own on one of those wicked and wild weekends away. he cool 4-wheel drive comes with a 4-stroke, 3-cylinder, water-cooled engine that has a fuel capacity of 0.8 L and produces 6000 revs per minute with 70Nm torque. The 5-speed, 4-wheel independent manual suspension comes with a smart electric start, which along with hydraulic disc brakes gives the North American off-roader the power and the comfort to give the driver the feeling of absolute control in any kind of terrain.

Space Station to Be Sunk After 2020

Russia and its partners plan to plunge the International Space Station (ISS) into the ocean at the end of its life cycle after 2020 so as not to leave space junk, the space agency said on Wednesday. "After it completes its existence, we will be forced to sink the ISS. It cannot be left in orbit, it's too complex, too heavy an object, it can leave behind lots of rubbish," said deputy head of Roskosmos space agency Vitaly Davydov. "Right now we've agreed with our partners that the station will be used until approximately 2020," he said in comments released on Wednesday.

How The First Crowdsourced Military Vehicle Can Remake the Future of Defense Manufacturing

The military and defense contractors can learn a lot from the wisdom of the masses, and American fighting forces could be better equipped and better protected if higher-ups would embrace the DIY ethos of ingenuity and agility. At least that’s how Jay Rogers, founder of an automotive firm that just built a military concept vehicle from crowdsourced plans, sees things. Rogers’ team of designers and engineers at Local Motors in Phoenix built the car, nicknamed FLYPmode, from scratch in less than four months, unveiling it for President Obama last week before delivering it to the military’s mad-science division in Virginia. If makers like Rogers get their way, the first Experimental Crowd-derived Combat Support Vehicle, or XC2V, just might be the future of the military industrial supply chain. But Rogers and his advocates face some hurdles first.

In Gyumri, A Soviet Arcade Remains Untouched

In a secluded corner of Gyumri’s Central Park, sits a small room full of enough Soviet-era arcade games to dizzy up visions of Brezhnev, propaganda posters and the KGB keeping tabs on your every move. But while it might appear to be a preserved, colorful museum exhibiting what child’s play might have been like during the mighty CCCP, it is actually a fully functioning game room that has remained the same – through the collapse of the Soviet Union, tragic 1988 Gyumri earthquake and Armenia’s transition into independence under three separate presidents – for 30 years.
