Navi Rawat Gets Wet For Maxim MagazineApparently Navi Rawat was in some show called Numbers. Great. It also appears that she’s probably far too hot to be in that show, not that we have any idea what that show was about. We’re not sure what she’s doing now, but if she’s looking for work we’d be happy to giver her our numbers. Here is the recent set of photos from a shoot Ms. Rawat did for Maxim Magazine, the India edition. |
Meet The Inmates At Rikers Island Who Make Thousands Of Loaves Of Bread Each DayIt looks like any other bakery, with giant metal tubs to knead the dough and industrial ovens belching out heat. Except this bakery is surrounded by razor wire, the fridge is nicknamed Fort Knox - and the slicing blades are carefully counted before anyone is allowed to leave. Its workers are all inmates of Rikers Island, New York, who earn $31 a week making the prison's bread. The 20 offenders start work before dawn to produce 36,000 loaves of wholewheat bread, enough to feed the 13,000 inmates behind bars at one of America's biggest jail complexes. Security is tight at the mammoth bakery - violence can flare up quickly at Rikers, where in December a guard had part of his thumb bitten off by an inmate. At 6am each day, the 20 bakers climb in a van and are driven across the 413-acre island and through the double row of barbed wire surrounding the factory. They are supervised by a team of correction officers with a warden and a deputy, who keep an eagle eye on the bakers in the noisy, fast-moving environment filled with industrial machinery. |
Izabel Goulart In Her Painted On BikiniI have to say that I’m impressed with the quality of workmanship that went into Izabel Goulart’s painted on bikini, the shading is wonderful, the attention to detail is spectacular and the coloring is… What am I talking about?!!! Who cares if the bikini looks real or not? She’s a Brazilian hottie, she’s a Victoria’s Secret model, she’s Izabel Goulart and she’s almost naked! |

McLaren Lets You Have It Your Way With Special Operations DivisionMcLaren Special Operations may sound like a new unit of special forces in the British military, but is, in fact, actually the new client customization division of the supercar manufacturer behind the MP4-12C. We first got wind of the new service at Pebble Beach where it was presented, one year after the North American debut of the car itself, but now McLaren has unleashed more details and a full batch of photos. Through the Special Operations division, McLaren is offering its elite clientele a range of customization options for their new exotic. The show car displayed at Pebble Beach, for example, included such special touches as satin matte Volcano Orange paintwork, a gloss black roof, diamond-cut wheels with gloss black inserts, carbon door sills and steering wheel, and extra vents on the front fenders, engine cover and rear deck. |
BMW Tests an Autonomous VehicleThe thought of driving a BMW from Munich to Nuremberg on the autobahn might thrill a driving enthusiast, but for most German commuters it’s just another slog in rush-hour traffic. That’s why BMW is testing a 5-Series sedan outfitted with autonomous tech on that stretch of roadway. The German automaker wants to see if cars with the ability to sense their surroundings can make heavy traffic less of a chore for stressed-out drivers. Engineers from the Highly Automated Driving group have racked up more than 3,100 miles in a semi-autonomous car that can take over during a traffic jam and even bring the car to the shoulder if the driver becomes incapacitated. BMW is hardly alone in pursuing semi- and fully autonomous technology and “intelligent” vehicles. Volvo, for example, successfully tested a semi-autonomous “road train” earlier this year, and a fully autonomous Audi TTS reached the summit of Pikes Peak last year. And Google has racked up more than 140,000 miles with its self-driving cars. |
Turquoise Rolls-Royce Phantom In QatarGTspirit reader Justin just got back from a two week holiday in Qatar and Dubai. He spotted many awesome cars, but there is one car he would like to share with us and it is turquoise Rolls-Royce Phantom. Justin shot these pictures right after it was deliverd to the Rolls-Royce showroom in Doha, Qatar. He is not completely sure if this luxury saloon was made specifically for the Al-Thani family, which is known for their turquoise luxury and sports cars. The price tag on the Rolls was about € 500,000. |
Navy Fighter Jet Gets Ride Home From Afghanistan In Cargo PlaneHow a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet carrier fighter aircraft managed to get stranded in Afghanistan isn't clear, but the U.S. Air Force had a unique solution for getting it back to home base in San Diego: A ride in a cargo plane. This photo was taken as the F/A-18 was loaded into a C-5 Galaxy at Kandahar Airfield shows the first time a U.S. fighter jet has been flown home on a cargo aircraft, the results of months of planning and the temporary removal of a few flying surfaces. |
