CELEBRITIES & MODELS PHOTOGRAPHY & EYE CANDY

Meanwhile, In England

Jessie J performed at some festival I couldn't give a shit less about looking like this. The only "news" today is about Kim Kardashian's wedding, which I couldn't also give a shit less about, but I'm not sure how the media missed this. I figured if Rihanna and Katy Perry had a retarded baby that Perez Hilton would've been all over it.

Breathtaking Lake Photographs

Continuing with our theme of inspiration collections, we thought we would offer some incredible lake photographs. Incorporating the skills of landscape and coastal landscape photography, this collection again shows what is achievable with a little planning. Enjoy it and use it as motivation to get out there and shoot!

Morgan Beck Bikini Volleyball

I don’t really follow beach volleyball, judging from the crowd at this game nobody does, but I do like watching hot chicks in little bikinis jump around in the sand. Obviously I prefer it when their liquored up and doing some sort of all inclusive resort drinking game, but I guess volleyball works too. Anyhow, here’s Morgan Beck giving us a good look at her form on the beach the other day. She’s definitely got some great ball skills.

Intricate Ship Sterns: Art on the Ocean

When we ran our article entitled Ship Figureheads: Symbols of the Sea, it seemed like a great idea to take an in depth look at the decorative art at the other end of the ship as well. The stern is the rear of a ship or boat, being positioned opposite the front or bow, where the figurehead would normally be located. The Swedish warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged in 1961 (see photo above). Now on display in the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, the stern is painted in what are believed to have been the original colours.

Volkswagen NILS Concept

Volkswagen NILS, a single-seat electric concept vehicle that offers a glimpse of a new form of minimalist mobility, has been unveiled ahead of its public debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This concept car - which features an aluminium space frame, wing doors and free-standing wheels - has the dynamic performance of a sports car, yet travels silently, and with zero emissions. The NILS project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, and is designed to be both technically realistic and economically supportable. 'NILS anticipates the future. The goal of the NILS project is to research a technically realistic and economically feasible concept for a minimalist commuter vehicle that makes individual transportation more efficient and eco-friendly thanks to its electric drive,' said Prof. Dr. Jürgen Leohold, Head of Volkswagen Group Research.

Richard Branson is Renting out Flying Submarine

One of the richest men in the world has decided to rent out his flying submarine. The cynical point of view might be that Richard Branson is bored with the toy and is behaving like a typical businessman by ensuring that it is ultimately put to good use. He could use the money since he will be repairing the burnt home on his private island. This is a man that is conquering all spheres of influence. He has Virgin Mobile taking over the airwaves and then also dabbles in flying with Virgin Airlines. The futuristic toy is perhaps the latest ploy by the astute businessman to crack new markets way ahead of the competition. The Necker Nymph might do wonders for the eccentric billionaire who is looking for something to entertain him during the winter months.

Peugeot HX1 Concept

The Peugeot HX1 concept is a prototype vehicle which has been designed with the idea of adaptation and transformation at its heart. The concept is based on an MPV architecture, but instead of displaying a boxy profile, the concept has a low, tapered roofline which is much more sporty in character. The design brief for the Peugeot HX1 called for a boldly styled vehicle capable of carrying up to six people. It also had to be fuel efficient – and that’s where Peugeot’s latest HYbrid4 drivetrain with plug-in rechargeable capability comes in. The HYbrid4 system, a modular drivetrain that is featured on the production 3008 HYbrid4, is a diesel hybrid setup. With an internal combustion diesel engine at the front (powering the front wheels) and an electric motor at the rear (powering the rear wheels), this system enables all four wheels to be driven when the engine and electric motor work together. It also enables the vehicle to be driven at low speeds powered just by the electric motor in ‘Zero Emissions Vehicle’ mode. In electric-only mode the HX1 can cover 18.6 miles.
