Awesome Jenny McCarthy Bikini PicturesI though that Jenny McCarthy was just some washed up former Playboy chick looking to marry some rich old dude who’ll take care of her until she gets fat and her finds a younger model. Who knew she still looked this hot? Here she is showing off those fat breasts of hers on the beach in a nice little bikini. Awesome. I don’t know who the douche is, but I bet his bank account is much more impressive than mine. Bastard. |

Bar Refaeli Flashes Hot Tummy in Continued Re-Rise to Sextastic HeightsBar Refaeli is like a hotness rocket, that simply couldn't lift off the ground with the weight of Leo DiCaprio and all that fake relationship entails, but, once cast off, she's reaching takeoff velocity and toward epic heights of lust-inducement once more. Just looking at her taut belly flaunting about N.Y. yesterday makes me wonder why I ever considered giving up public groping as a pastime. You know, it's not just men that need a little (or more) taste of the sexy making to slap a stupid grin on their mugs. The ladies are in need of the magic tingle too. And, when it comes to Bar Refaeli special tingles, I sure would like to see it on videotape. |
Sunset Silhouettes on the BeachBrazilian photographer Isac Goulart specializes in taking photos of stunning silhouettes on the beach. The main focus, however, is not on his subjects, rather, they're of the wonderfully vibrant colors that burst through our screens. "I am a Brazilian who has traveled bits of the world, seen some incredible beauty, and decided to capture a small fraction of these frozen moments in pixels to share with others online," says Goulart. |

EcoBoost F-150 Wins Vegas to Reno Off-Road RaceRandy Merritt and the team at Mongo Racing won last month's "Vegas to Reno" off-road race in the No. 8181 EcoBoost Ford F-150. Part of the Best in the Desert racing series, the 549-mile long Vegas to Reno run is billed as the longest off-road race in the U.S. The race started in Beatty, Nev., about 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, and finished in Dayton, Nev., a small town about 30 miles south of Reno. Merritt and his co-pilot, Tracy Rubio, competed in Class 8100 for stock full-size trucks, finishing with a time of 14 hours, 5 minutes. Until last year, BITD racers like Merritt were allowed to compete only with naturally aspirated V-8 gas engines or turbo-diesels under the hoods of their full-size race trucks. But for the 2010-2011 season, BITD changed its rulebook to allow Ford's EcoBoost twin-turbo six-cylinder to compete in stock classes 8000 and 8100. |
No, You May Not Use My EarbudsHave you ever had someone ask you to borrow your earbuds? It's gross, right? I typically say yes, but I'm always skeeved out, and reach for the alcohol wipes afterward. Bottom line: earbud sharing is not acceptable social behavior. Here's an example. Most of the Gizmodo staff is in New York. I'm based in San Francisco. But in July, I flew out to work for a week at Gawker HQ in Manhattan. One day, I realized I'd left my earbuds behind. So I asked around for some, thinking, "it's Gizmodo. There must be an unused pair of earbuds around somewhere." |
Ferrari Enzo Crashes into Atlantic Ocean at Targa NewfoundlandAny time a Ferari Enzo rashes it’s big news. It’s even bigger when the car crashes into the Atlantic Ocean during a sanctioned open road race. You can’t buy publicity like this. And you probably couldn’t afford to either, with the car worth well over $1 million. Driven by ZR Auto owner and exotic car enthusiast Zahir Rana, the car is no regular Enzo, but rather a highly modified version by Edo Competition made to look like the ultra-rare FXX and sporting some serious performance modifications. In the past had received a transplant from an FXX model (exactly how Rana managed to get a hold of such an engine is a mystery). More recently it had been converted with a twin-turbo setup, although it’s not known if that was the engine being used during the Targa Newfoundland race. |
2001 A Space Odyssey + Star Trek = ai3's SuperGroup OfficeAtlanta-based ai3, the same interior design/architecture firm that worked on the new Holiday Inn lobby, also designed this office space for marketing agency The SuperGroup. The main entrance corridor is straight out of Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, complete with their own monolith at the end of the tunnel, while the doors to the conference room are pure original Star Trek. I love the fact that beyond the office being a well-designed space, it is also an experience. Your walk into the office is an experience; your first encounter with the SuperGroup-branded monolith is an experience; opening the doors to the conference is an experience. This is the true power of architecture: to influence the context of the world we live in, both in our physical interactions and in our capacity to dream and think creatively. I know that I, for one, would function much more dynamically in a space like this than a drab office building. |
