Elizabeth Hurley Bikini Pictures… Sort OfAlright so I’m calling these Elizabeth Hurley pictures because it’s her store or she designed them or something like that so get off my back. Anyhow, here she is fully dressed launching her new line of bikinis the other day. I’m no expert, but if you’re trying to sell bikinis it might be a good idea to put one on. I’m just saying. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that she’s getting touchy feely with a couple of chicks in bikinis and heels, but I would have liked to see her at least make an effort. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. |
Building Cars at General MotorsGM has been adding shifts at many of its plants around the country. GM's Delta Township plant near Lansing, Mich. will run day and night starting in April, and the Detroit automaker has said it is adding a third shift at its Fairfax plant in Kansas City, Kan., and Fort Wayne, Ind., plants, restoring 2,400 jobs. A worker installs a door on a GM crossover SUV as it goes through the assembly line at the General Motors Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant in Lansing, Mich. |
Heidi Montag's Breasts Can MultitaskWhile defying the very laws of reason by acting in a legitimate film yesterday, Heidi Montag somehow find time to squeeze in a photoshoot for her line of hair care products. So not only is Heidi an actress, she's a working model with all the beauty and grace of Barbie having a stroke. We're in a parallel dimension, aren't we? Goddammit. |
A Close Look At $100Some people enjoy exploring the smallest details of paper money. This $100 note has been macro photographed and now you can take a closer look at its signs. All the details are inside the post. The United States dollar history is over 200 years. The design we know today was approved in 1928. The word “dollar” stands for “daler”. It was an abbreviation for Joachimsdaler, a coin that came from Joachim’s Valley (Bohamia). “Dalers” became popular in England at the times of King George III. Each “daler” was about 1/8 of English pound, thus it was called “piece of eight”. This long name soon transformed into a famous $ sign. |

Brabus E V12 CoupeAt the Geneva Motor Show 2010 the Brabus E V12 Coupe celebrates its world debut as the world's fastest Gran Tourismo. Based on the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe, Brabus builds a luxurious 2+2-seater in small-series production. It is powered by a Brabus SV12 R Biturbo 800 twelve-cylinder displacement engine that produces 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW of power and a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft). Brabus accepted by the German Federal Vehicle Registration Agency (Kraftfahrtbundesamt) as an automobile manufacturer, offers this high-performance automobile capable of reaching speeds in excess of 370 km/h (230 mph) starting at 478,000 Euros MSRP. Like the fourth-generation Brabus E V12 sedan the new E V12 Coupe is powered by a Brabus SV12 R Biturbo 800 displacement engine. Drawing upon decades of experience in developing and building high-performance vehicles the twelve-cylinder engine was fitted into the engine bay of the two-door E-Class. |
Coolest Hack Ever? Cool Water + Pipes + Fan = DIY ACWhen life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When life gives you an apartment with no air conditioning, you grab some supplies and make your own air conditioner. A clever Flickr user did just that and documented his project with annotated pictures. Starting off with a regular oscillating tabletop fan, he wrapped copper tubing in a spiral around the front and back of the fan. Flexible plastic tubing connects the copper coils to the reservoir below so that the fan can still oscillate. Fish tank pumps cycle cold water up, through the coils, and back down. When the fan blows across the cold tubes, it creates a gust of chilly air in the room. There’s no mention of the cost involved, but this looks to be a relatively simple and inexpensive solution for homes that can’t take the electrical load of a window air conditioner. Just be careful if you try this – or any other hack involving electricity (especially electricity near water) at home. |
Spied! Mopar Ram Power WagonThat didn't take long. Earlier this morning we showed you a preview sketch of the awesome Mopar Ram Power Wagon that's headed to Easter Jeep Safari later this month in Moab, Utah. Now, our spies have snapped pics of the real deal, and we're even more in love with it then we were a few hours ago. This is not a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fighter. This is a ground pounder. Check out that ground clearance for rock crawling and the aggressive approach and departure angles! The production 2010 Ram Power Wagon is available only as a three-quarter-ton crew cab with a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, so Mopar definitely has our attention with a shorter wheelbase version. There's no word on whether Mopar's Power Wagon has the Hemi V-8 lurking under its hood or the 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 diesel. The diesel won't work in the production Power Wagon because its integrated winch blocks the inlet for the diesel's intercooler. Besides the regular cab configuration, another feature we really like is the Mopar Power Wagon's styleside cargo box that looks like it came from a short bed Ram HD dually. We're thinking that could also work well for a modern Little Red Truck. |
The Whole Cosmos Seems to Live in This Furry, Glowy PillowMaybe the whole cosmos isn't in this pillow, but the LEDs hidden in a zippered compartment and causing these glowing, swirling patterns sure do give the illusion that it is. At about $37, the Moonlight cushion is pricier than let's say a pillow with the Android mascot, but I think that it's worth it—even if only as a pretty nightlight. |
