CELEBRITIES & MODELS PHOTOGRAPHY & EYE CANDY

Miranda Kerr's A Lady In Red

Is it possible for Miranda Kerr to ever have an off day? Perhaps those are the days she stays inside and avoids the paparazzi...it's my theory and I'm standing by it. Anywho, Miranda looked gorgeous in a little red hot number last week. All I know is if it's reported that Orlando Bloom has been cheating on her (since that's the new trend in Hollywood), I might go insane...but then again I wouldn't be surprised. Apparently guys can date gorgeous women and cheat on them with stripper trash.

Awesome LeParkour Action Photography

Parkour or l'art du déplacement (English: the art of moving) is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment. It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, as if moving in an emergency situation. Skills such as jumping and climbing, or the more specific parkour moves are employed. The object of parkour is to get from one place to another using only the human body and the objects in the environment. The obstacles can be anything in one's environment, but parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of the many suitable public structures available such as buildings and rails.

Heidi and Spencer Split up

Though she's denying the rumors, OK! magazine's reporting that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have split up. From their website: "It seems that there’s trouble in the fairytale romance of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: OK! has learned that the reality starlet has walked out on her husband after fewer than 18 months of marriage. Things have been rocky between the pair recently, and Heidi even fired Spencer briefly as her manager two weeks ago."

Unseen Images Of A Lost London

They are a remarkable window onto a bygone age. A snapshot of a city in transition - with horse-drawn carts and cobbled streets replaced by a booming industrial revolution. Lost in the archives of English Heritage for 25 years, these never-before published images have now been compiled into a book. From Victorian London to the devastation of two world wars, they provide a unique record of a vanishing way of life in the capital. Here, CLAIRE COHEN compares the London of a century ago with photographs taken at the same locations today.

PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES TECHNOLOGY & OTHER NEAT STUFF

Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessy are a well known and respected tuning outfit who are probably best known for producing high-horsepower upgrade kits for large displacement US muscle cars - although they actually offer performance products for several European and Japanese manufacturers too. Previously the company, which has been around since 1991, have stuck to making other manufacturers cars go faster. But with the Venom GT Hennessey are venturing into more of a manufacturer-style role. The car's still a donor - as evidenced by the recognizable Lotus Elise profile. However its not just a simple engine swap, there's been a significant change in the car's overall setup and dimensions.

Amazon's Packaging Is a Serial HDD Killer

When Amazon switched over to "frustration free" packaging last year—using minimal materials to ease the strain on the environment—they unwittingly became the prime suspect in a string of hard disk drive deaths. Behold the trail of sorrow. Apparently, multiple customers who've ordered Western Digital HDDs have found that their order was wrapped in just a bag and some "cardboard hoops." The reviews say it all: Amazon has cut down a swath of innocent hard disk drives before their time. Fortunately, according to Wired, Amazon has since changed their packaging policy for this specific item. But who knows how many other hard disk drives are at risk?

Lamborghini Fan Builds A Garage House To Park The Car In His Living Room

Couple of weeks ago we introduced you a crazy Ferrari fan from US who built a 10-foot long 15-foot high bridge to connect his sports car’s living-room to parking spot, and this time it’s a Lamborghini fan from Fukushima, Japan, who has asked the designer Takuya Tsuchida to make a 9 car garage and he should be able to enjoy viewing one of them in the living room.

The Bob Chronicles

On its fifteenth anniversary, a look back at a legendary software flop. What’s the most efficient way to deride a technology product as a stinker and/or a flop? Easy: Compare it to Microsoft Bob. Bring up the infamous Windows 3.1 front-end for computing newbies–officially released fifteen years ago this week, on March 31st, 1995–and you need say no more. Everything from OS X to Twitter to Google Wave to (inevitably) Windows Vista has gotten the treatment. Bob’s pervasiveness as an insult long ago transcended its brief period of prominence as a product. By now, it’s unlikely that the vast majority of people who use it as shorthand for “embarrassing tech failure” ever actually used it–any more than the average person who cracks jokes about the Ford Edsel has spent time behind the wheel of one.
