You Built What?! A Real Iron Man Suit
Anthony Le, 25, has been a fan of Iron Man since he was a kid, but when he heard that the comic-book superhero was hitting the big screen in 2008, he was inspired to build his own Iron Man suit. That version was more of a costume, but his new one, finished just in time for the movie’s sequel, edges much closer to the real thing. With its dent-proof exterior, motorized faceplate and spinning mock Gatling gun, his take on the movie’s War Machine suit could easily frighten a supervillain. Le, a fitness consultant, studied some concept sketches of the suit posted on the Internet. He used thin, high-impact urethane for the armor, cutting it into plates and joining them with some 1,500 rivets and washers. He sculpted a clay helmet mold and then used a liquid resin mix to create the final product. But that was just cosmetic work. He also added a small servo motor that opens the faceplate, as in the movie, and built a gun out of pipes and a motor. LEDs in the eyes and chest-plate further add to the illusion. Le plans to wear the suit to the movie and already has quite a following, especially at sci-fi conventions. “I’m kind of hard to miss,” he says.

1200hp "Super Veyron" Winds The Rumor Mill Again
A car as powerful as the Bugatti Veyron can do a great many things. Crest the 400 km/h mark. Burn through fuel and rubber faster than a jumbo jet on take-off with the parking brake engaged. But how about stop time? Maybe if you lay down all that twist in the opposite direction off the earth's rotation. Or bring back a rumor that first reared its head some four years ago. We're talking about the long-rumored 1,200-horsepower "super Veyron." Its arrival has been anticipated for years, and now accounts from Germany are bringing it back to life. According to the reports, Professor Ferdinand Piëch – the former Volkswagen chairman, Porsche heir and father of the Veyron – recently delivered a lecture at the Vienna University of Technology, wherein he briefly alluded to the emergence of the 1,200-hp Veyron, but revealed no further details.

Table Top 80s Arcade Game - Made entirely of LEGO
Aside from the obvious electronics, everything is LEGO. It uses a Jamma 48-1 board to play a variety of 80's arcade game including Pac-Man, Donky Kong, Space Invaders and many more. An overall view. It's about 34" tall.. Four pieces of 1/4" all thread run vertically through the courners to help hold things together in transit. Here, the control console is removed. Top left is an ATX power supply. Top right is the Jamma 48-1 PCB. Lower portion is the control console (turned upsdie down) with push buttons and a switchable 4-way/8-way joystick. (Some games work better with 8-way joysticks, others with 4-way joysticks.) The control console is held in with four technic pins hidden panels. Some screws are used to hold the joystick in place, No LEGO pieces were cut or altered to make this. Here is a view inside the back access door. The white cord on the top leads to two powered speakers for sound.
