Jennifer Aniston Drops Some Behind The Scenes Cleavage

Here’s Jennifer Aniston looking pretty damn sexy for a forty-one year old, and dropping some impressive cleavage on the set of her upcoming movie “Fast friends”. Ok, I’m only kidding about the age thing, because Aniston looks hotter and has more of a killer body than the majority of actresses in their twenties… and judging from the last photo on the first row… supermodels as well. The babe next to her in the baby blue dress? That’s supermodel Brooklyn Decker, and as you can see, Aniston’s body totally blows Decker’s body out of the water. Actually, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, Aniston makes Decker look… fat.

Amazing Photographs of Storms

Photography is a favorite source of inspiration and a hobby of many designers. In this post I’d like to showcase a collection of photos from various photographers that have captured storms.

Christina Hendricks Cleavage Isn't Good Enough For This

New rule: Just because you have awesomely enormous breasts, doesn't mean you can dress like a complete idiot. Especially at an event where the entire purpose is to have your picture taken looking hot. But that's just what Christina Hendricks did at the Costume Institute Gala last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan. Sure, we love the awesome Christina Hendricks cleavage, but that doesn't excuse whatever the hell is going on here. I think she took the "Costume Gala" thing a little too seriously, because she looks like she picked up her dress and makeup at a costume store. Next time, Christina, stick with the cleavage, and leave the high concept stuff at home.

Bento, Chocolate, & Beyond: Intriguing Examples of Food Art

As the fear of the obesity epidemic rises, food is seen more an more as simply something one has to cut back on. Lunch is no longer a joyful time to cherish, but a disappointing time spent in front of a microwave. Not everyone has succumbed to this despair, however, and a lot of people are compensating for smaller, healthier, portions, with beautiful aesthetics.

Mythbusters Put The Science Of Crashing Cars To The Test

In between repeated bouts to literally knock your socks off (well, not yours exactly, but you get the idea, right?) last night, the Mythbusters crew decided to revisit an old myth that was drawing the ire of the show's fans for quite some time. And it's sure to be an interesting topic to automotive enthusiasts. When two cars collide, each traveling 50 miles per hour, does the resulting force equal one car hitting an immovable object at 100 miles per hour? It seems like such simple physics, no? But don't forget Newton's third law. To quote the great Wikipedia of knowledge, "Whenever a first body exerts a force F on a second body, the second body exerts a force -F on the first body. F and -F are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction." Or, more simply, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

How to Start a Fire With Only Compressed Air

You’ve probably seen contestants on Survivor trying to make fire by rubbing sticks together or concentrating sunlight with their eyeglasses. But among preindustrial fire-starting methods, it’s hard to beat the portable convenience of fire pistons, used in Southeast Asia since prehistoric times. Almost all gases heat up when compressed. The harder and the faster the compression, the hotter the gas gets, hot enough even to ignite cotton wool or other flammable materials. Diesel engines work the same way: They have no spark plugs; instead the fuel/air mixture is ignited by compression as the cylinder closes up.

Here’s What an Electric VW Golf Looks Like

Here’s a pic and a few more details about the Volkswagen Golf Blue e-motion concept, the electric vehicle VW says will be on the road in 2013. Volkswagen announced the electric Golf yesterday and made a big deal of having German Chancellor Angela Merkel check it out, but for whatever reason didn’t release a pic of the car until today. Turns out it looks just like a regular Golf. Imagine that. The production model will be part of the seventh-generation Golf family slated for 2013. As we mentioned yesterday, the concept has an 85 kilowatt (114 horsepower) electric motor producing 200 pound feet of torque. Top speed is limited to about 85 mph.

Pentagon Turns to Brain Implants to Repair Damaged Minds

An estimated 10 to 20 percent of troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering from traumatic brain injuries, or TBIs, which afflict 1.7 million Americans each year. Now the Pentagon’s rolling out a revolutionary initiative to treat the condition: brain implants that one researcher likens to “replacement parts” for damaged gray matter. “When something happens to the brain right now, there’s so little that the medical community can do,” Krishna Shenoy, associate professor of electrical engineering and bioengineering at Stanford University, told Danger Room. “Our goal is to understand — and then be able to change — how a brain responds to trauma.” No surprise that military extreme science agency Darpa is behind the project, which is called REPAIR, or Reorganization and Plasticity to Accelerate Injury Recovery.
